Oppo has confirmed the India launch of its Oppo Pad SE tablet alongside the much-anticipated Reno 14 series smartphones on July 3. This marks Oppo’s return to the tablet space after nearly two years, following the debut of the Pad Air in July 2022.
The Oppo Pad SE, first introduced in China, is expected to retain similar specifications for the Indian market. With the Pad Air having launched with the Reno 8, Oppo continues this pairing approach, bringing the Pad SE to market alongside the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro.
The tablet features an 11-inch LCD screen designed to reduce eye strain. Oppo notes that the display meets TÜV Rheinland’s standards for Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free technology. The screen supports a peak brightness of 500 nits and follows a 16:10 aspect ratio. Although Oppo has not yet disclosed the refresh rate for India, the Chinese version supports 90Hz.
Powered by a 9,340mAh battery, the Pad SE is expected to deliver up to 11 hours of video playback. The device will be offered in silver and blue color options, with specific RAM and storage variants to be confirmed at launch. The tablet’s body is 7.39mm thick.
Meanwhile, Oppo is introducing two new smartphones under the Reno 14 lineup—the standard Reno 14 and the Reno 14 Pro. Both models emphasize photography, with each device equipped with a triple camera system. A key highlight is the 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor paired with a 3.5x telephoto lens. Oppo claims this is the first implementation in the segment to combine lossless 3.5x zoom, AI-based telephoto, and 120x digital zoom capabilities.
Under the hood, the Reno 14 Pro is set to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset. It will carry a 6,200mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.
While pricing details are still under wraps, Oppo's positioning of these devices in the mid-range category suggests competitive pricing to appeal to mainstream buyers. The brand’s return to tablets and new imaging technologies in smartphones is likely to draw consumer attention.
July is expected to be a busy month for mobile tech announcements, with major brands including Samsung, Nothing, OnePlus, and Vivo all preparing for new product unveilings. Oppo’s dual-device release on July 3 is poised to kickstart the month’s launch cycle.
