OnePlus Pad Go 2 Review: Performance, Features, Price and Verdict

The OnePlus Pad Go 2 is not a product that flaunts radical changes, but this is what works for its advantage. It is a mature, well-balanced upgrade that supports the case of Android tablets as capable, everyday computer devices plus it delays the entry to OnePlus’ top-tier offerings.
By the first look, the improvements look small individually, but they collectively bring a great impact. The tablet gets powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor, which is a definite upgrade over the Helio G99 in the prior model. The memory is still at 8GB, but it is faster, and the storage has been switched to UFS 3.1 from UFS 2.2—such innovations greatly enhance the responsiveness and multitasking.
In Indian currency, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is coming at ₹23,999, which is an increase from the predecessor’s price of ₹18,999. This price increment is quite reasonable when compared to the whole range of improvements, with the screen being the most important among them. The display is now 12.1 inches wide, which is now being considered the standard size for Android tablets. It is brighter, sharper, and the colors are more vivid which makes it suitable not only for video streaming but also for reading and web browsing. Besides, the support for the stylus makes it an attractive option for note-taking and other artistic activities.
OnePlus has once again emphasized the Open Canvas multitasking feature. Running two apps side by side does not feel at all like a problem on the bigger display and swipes for split-screen or floating windows are all gestures that support productivity. The gesture controls are there if wanted but the conventional app window controls are still the easiest way to manage multitasking.
The performance is indeed at par with what we get for the price. The Dimensity 7300-Ultra is the same processor that is usually seen in mid-range smartphones and when bundled with OxygenOS 16, it results in smooth day-to-day usage. The Pad Go 2 could be heavily loaded with work, media consumption, or multitasking but it won’t give stutters or slowdowns.
Battery performance is another plus point. The upgraded tablet comes with a 10,050mAh battery compared to 8,000mAh in the older model and has a fast charging of 33W. In real-world usage, it gives around 18 hours of video playback, which makes it a reliable companion for traveling or prolonged use without powering-up quite often.
For connectivity, one can go for the Wi-Fi-only model while a 5G version is available for those who require mobile data without being tethered to a network. OnePlus phone users enjoy the data transfer between devices as long as they are logged in to the same OnePlus account.
OxygenOS 16 has done some behind-the-scenes work to enrich the experience. The interface that gets visually better, more stable, and more efficient in screen space, feels less and more with the users. Plus, OnePlus AI features like photo editing tools, translation, summaries for long documents, and Google Gemini with Circle to Search are all available for the user with practical value.
When the OnePlus Pad Go 2 is looked at as a whole, it gives an experience that is very much refined with thoughtfulness. With the same performance throughout, a user-friendly interface, extended battery life, and an attractive price, it is still the company’s quiet yet effective strategy to make Android tablets stay in the market. For now, with no one in particular offering such a good balance of hardware and software at the same price point, it becomes one of the most attractive offerings in this segment.
