OnePlus 15R, Pad Go 2: Check Latest India Launch Specs, Camera & Battery

Today, OnePlus is presenting its next product range in India by introducing the OnePlus 15R smartphone and OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet. The launch ceremony will take place at 3:00 p.m. IST and will be broadcast live from Bengaluru's OnePlus India YouTube channel.

The Chinese electronic goods manufacturer has already disclosed the main specifications of both products prior to the event, thus marking them as performance-oriented extensions of its smartphone and tablet range.

OnePlus 15R: Key highlights

The OnePlus 15R will be launched on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, which is one of the earliest Indian launches to be powered by the chipset. OnePlus mentions that the smartphone will additionally have a dedicated touch response chip that is designed to cut down the input latency during gaming sessions, G2 Wi-Fi chip for improving the network as well.

The device is backed by an enormous 7,400mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC wired fast charging support. It has been officially stated that the phone will come with Android 16 on top of OxygenOS 16.

In terms of display specifications, a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate has been installed in the OnePlus 15R. The peak brightness is 1,800 nits when the display is in high brightness mode, whereas low-light handling is done through ultra-dim settings that can go down to 2 nits or 1 nit using reduced white point controls. The screen has obtained TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 certification as well.

Regarding the construction and durability of the device, it has received several protection ratings, such as IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which shows that it is resistant to dust, water immersion, and exposure to high-pressure hot water.

In terms of photography, the OnePlus 15R has a dual rear camera configuration with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP auxiliary sensor. The selfie camera has a 32MP resolution and can shoot 4K videos at a maximum of 120fps and a minimum of 30fps.

Moreover, the Indian smartphone has the Mind AI tools that were made to retain and deal with the content that has been shot for coming up with situations where it can be used. The smartphone will be the OnePlus Pad Go 2, which operates with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset. OnePlus will also reveal the tablet, which has a 12.1-inch display with a 7:5 aspect ratio and peak brightness of 900 nits. The screen covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum and is TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certified.

The tablet supports OnePlus’ Open Canvas multitasking system, which allows users of the tablet to work with two or more apps at the same time and have different layouts for their windows.

The tablet's power supply has a massive capacity of 10,050mAh, with 33W SUPERVOOC wired charging as its only option. OnePlus, the manufacturer, claims that the Pad Go 2 will be able to give up to 15 hours of video, approximately 53 hours of audio, and the standby time of 60 days. Additionally, there is a feature of reverse wired charging.

The tablet is capable of accepting input from the stylus through the OnePlus Stylo accessory and has Dolby Vision for the content that is compatible.
