OnePlus 15R India Launch on Dec 17: Price, Specs, and Event Details

OnePlus has announced that its much-awaited OnePlus 15R smartphone will make its debut in India on December 17. The release will take place during a physical event in Bengaluru, where the company is likely to showcase several items including the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet. The 15R is said to cost about Rs 45,000 in India.

The 15R will be the next generation of flagship OnePlus 15 with all the innovations in design and display that the latter one possesses. It will come with a superb AMOLED 1.5K display capable of the highest refresh rates of 165Hz. Moreover, it will also conquer the market with its IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, thus completely changing the perception of durability.

The OnePlus 15R will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor alongside a combination of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage as its maximum variant. The smartphone is rumored to come pre-installed with OxygenOS 16, thus giving users the newest software experience from OnePlus.

The main camera setup is said to be centered around a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The 32MP camera for selfies and video calls is said to be the front-facing one.

The 15R's battery is massively charged with a 7,400mAh power pack, which is the largest in the entire OnePlus device lineup. An 80W wired charging support for fast charging will also be introduced, leading to quicker refills compared to the previous ones.

OnePlus has already disseminated some teasers over the internet, indicating that it is indeed making a big fuss over the device even before the official December 17 launch. The 15R wants to take the Indian market by storm offering premium features at mid-range prices.
