The iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are the two smartphones that are closest in pricing but differ considerably in performance which daily users really notice when they buy them. Both are power-friendly but the practical aspect of OnePlus gets ahead by the provision of up-to-date specs, faster charging, and a bigger battery.

OnePlus 15 has a starting price of Rs 72,999 for the model with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM.

Inside the new OnePlus model, a 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery has been provided, thus making it last longer with its charge than Samsung’s 5,000mAh battery. During a mixed daily use, the OnePlus 15 almost reaches a two-day cycle until the user will have to look for a charger. Usually, the Galaxy S25 Ultra users will plug it in after about a day and a half of usage.

With the increased density, the battery of OnePlus can sustain power without increasing size.

What comes along with the OnePlus 15 is a 120W wired charging support for the charging pad provided. Furthermore, it is also compatible with USB-PD and PPS, where it gets up to 36W and 55W respectively. Markets with 80W limitation are still able to enjoy quicker speeds than Samsung's 45W limit.

The total charging time for the OnePlus is usually less than an hour, while the software on the Samsung device slows the charging cycle down early on. Samsung’s support of Qi2 wireless enables more freedom, but still OnePlus is ahead of the game regarding wired recharging.

OnePlus is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor which is the latest and while the other is using last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite in a customized version. Further, it is two-fold; the OnePlus 15 gets leading CPU and GPU scores in synthetic benchmarking tests which translates to an advantage for heavy apps and multitasking.

The new Adreno GPU also contributes to the stable performance of the graphics-heavy workloads.

Gamers notice the difference in the features of the screen. The OnePlus 15 can go as high as 165Hz, with movies and games able to show as much as 165 fps. The 3,200Hz touch sampling rate is very helpful in fast in-game actions since it detects even the tiniest movements fast.

The screen has a resolution of 1.5K, which is different from the 2K panel of Samsung, but the difference is negligible during normal use.

OnePlus provides an ultrasonic fingerprint reader that responds to quick touches. The phone is rated IP68, IP69, and IP69K for protection, which means that it has the widest resistance to water and pressure of any device.

An IR blaster provides the ability to control home appliances remotely. The old alert slider has been replaced by a programmable Plus Key, allowing users to assign shortcuts like the camera shutter or flashlight toggle.

Which Phone Makes More Sense?

The two phones are in the same flagship category, but OnePlus 15 comes with a longer battery life, faster wired charging, latest chip, and numerous useful extras. Those who require a smartphone with the ultimate gaming feature, longevity, and everyday convenience, OnePlus 15 is the one that is more down to earth.
