OnePlus is preparing to unveil its next-generation smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in China later this month. The company is skipping the OnePlus 14 series entirely, positioning the 15 as its flagship device for early 2026. Reports indicate the phone will reach other international markets, including India, before the close of 2025.
Industry sources point to a late-October launch for the Chinese market. Availability outside China is expected in the following months, with shipments likely to start before December. OnePlus appears to be prioritizing China for its initial rollout, while global distribution will follow soon after.
The OnePlus 15 is set to adopt a flat-edge design similar to the recent 13s model. It will feature a flat AMOLED panel with slim bezels and a 165Hz refresh rate, offering a sharp and responsive visual experience. The design emphasizes symmetry and screen-to-body ratio improvements compared to previous models.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Memory configurations could reach up to 16GB of RAM, paired with storage options possibly extending to 1TB. The Chinese variant is expected to run ColorOS 16, which is based on Android 16, providing the latest software features and security updates.
The OnePlus 15 marks a departure from the Hasselblad partnership. The device will use OnePlus’ proprietary imaging engine and is rumored to house a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor. This change signals a focus on in-house software and hardware optimization for photography.
The upcoming model is expected to include a 7,000mAh battery leveraging silicon carbon technology. The device should support fast charging with 100W wired and 50W wireless capabilities, aiming to reduce recharge times significantly.
