OnePlus has officially announced that the OnePlus 15, its latest top-of-the-line smartphone, will be launched in India on November 13. The news comes just after the device’s China release, where it was the first one to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The Indian launch will be through Amazon exclusively online and will start at 7 PM. There is already a product page on the website showing the main specifications, but the official price for the Indian market has not been revealed yet.
OnePlus 15 has a new camera system that is different from its predecessor. The phone has three 50MP sensors, one of them being an improved telephoto lens, along with the main and ultra-wide cameras. The brand has cut ties with Hasselblad which means that the camera module is not branded with the camera company anymore.
The mobile phone features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor by Qualcomm, which is the best chip in the market right now. Its performance has been described as superior along with the improved AI capabilities, and the camera too has been given better quality. The users will have the option to choose between 8GB, 12GB and 16GB of RAM and storage of 128GB, 256GB, and 1TB. It will come pre-installed with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
The smartphone has a 6.78-inch OLED display, and it is somewhat smaller than the screen of the previous OnePlus flagship. The rate at which the panel refreshes has been raised to 165Hz, while the resolution has been lowered to 1.5K, which is different from the QHD+ displays of the previous models. The kind of protection that will be provided for the screen has not been made known yet.
The battery has a capacity of 7,300 mAh. Fast charging is possible with 120W for wired charging and 50W for wireless charging. This feature makes the OnePlus 15 one of the longest-lasting and fastest-charging devices of its category.
The OnePlus 15 has a starting price of 3,999 Yuan (around Rs 50,000) in China for the 12GB/256GB version, while the 16GB/1TB variant costs 5,399 Yuan (around Rs 67,000). The first model in India will probably be under Rs 75,000, while the most expensive one will be priced like the iPhone 17. The OnePlus 15 will be up against Google Pixel 10, Samsung Galaxy S26, and iPhone 17 from Apple.
