OnePlus will limit the release of its new 13s smartphone to India, the company confirmed, breaking its usual global launch pattern.
OnePlus officials said there are no plans to introduce the 13s model in Europe, the United States or Canada. Listings on the brand’s India website describe the device as "coming soon," but no exact release date has been set.
The device, sold as the 13T in China, is expected to share the same core features. Early information points to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite processor, up to 16GB of RAM and a maximum of 1TB internal storage. The display will measure 6.32 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, and the camera module will include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
Battery capacity is listed at 6,260 mAh with 80W wired charging support. OnePlus will replace its signature alert slider with a programmable Quick Key button, a change that may affect user routines.
Pricing in India is projected between Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000. OnePlus warned that the 13s may not support all network frequencies outside India, which could lead to signal issues for importers. Buyers outside India would also lack local warranty and service options.
Industry analysts say the India-only strategy highlights OnePlus’s focus on its largest market, even as some global users weigh the risks of importing a device without official support.
