OnePlus started the process of releasing Android 16 updates for its 2023 flagship, the OnePlus 11, and this also applies to the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 12, and OnePlus Open models which have received the same upgrades. The new firmware, OxygenOS 16, is ready for the users in India.
The over-the-air (OTA) update is coming through as the build number CPH2447_16.0.1.300(EX01) and it will require a download of 3.58GB. The users are recommended to be connected to a strong network for the smooth process of installation.
As is the case with the OnePlus software rollouts, the update is being gradually delivered. The notification will not be received at the same time by all OnePlus 11 devices in India. The company has a plan for making the update available to all devices within the next few days, assuming that no major problems arise during the initial deployment.
The OxygenOS 16 release is very similar to previous OnePlus firmware releases in terms of the wide range of improvements and features that it brings. Although the complete list of changes is long, the update mainly concentrates on stability of the system, giving security patches, and improving performance.
If the notification has not popped up yet, the users can proceed to manually check for the update via the device settings under the "System Updates" section. OnePlus has not yet announced an international rolling plan; however, it is quite likely that the global units will follow shortly after the first release in India.
