One UI 8.0 Now on Galaxy A07: Full Android 16 Upgrade Rolls Out

After a recent rollout for the Galaxy F15, Samsung has finally started the One UI 8.0 update for its economical Galaxy A07 smartphone. This is the first major software update for the Galaxy A07 since its launch.
The update, which is based on Android version 16, is primarily targeted at Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The firmware version is A075FXXU1BYJA and the download size is around 2.3GB. It also incorporates the Android security patch for October 2025, thereby fortifying the security of the device.
The users of Galaxy A07 in these countries can manually look for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. After the download is complete, the user just has to tap on Install now and the update process will be finished.
The UI 8.0 upgrade brings game-changing features to the core system and also to Samsung apps. Quick Share adopts a new full-screen interface and it is equipped with two tabs, one for sending and the other for receiving. The Weather app showcases an interactive animated character that changes according to the weather conditions in the area. A camera app now permits a new swipe gesture which lets the user toggle camera controls quickly.
Moreover, the update brings improvements in the aforementioned features along with the enhancements of the overall system, stock apps, and lock screen experience, so it aims to offer a seamless user interface.
Samsung's update roadmap suggests a gradual but steady rollout of One UI 8.0 to its mid-range and budget phones. At the beginning of this month, the Galaxy A06 and rugged tablets like Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro had also been included in this upgrade and granted new features for Good Lock and Home Up apps.
