Samsung has finally resolved a recurrent issue that plagued its Galaxy smartphones and tablets with One UI 8.0, where dynamic wallpapers just did not color cycle or went back to the static defaults.
One UI 8.0's dynamic wallpapers, to be more specific, were aimed at producing different color patterns, which made the device look different throughout the day. But, some users said the wallpapers sometimes got stuck and they were changed to the non-dynamic backgrounds. The situation was very annoying for users who expected Samsung's vibrant visuals everywhere on their devices. The tech giant acknowledged the situation and assured the users of a fix.
The solution is the update that is going to be made to the Samsung Wallpaper and Style app, the system app that has been controlling dynamic wallpapers and the customization options. The update gets rid of the bug that swapped dynamic wallpapers with factory images thus allowing those who were affected to get back the functionality that has been intended for them all along.
As of now, the update is live in South Korea. Samsung has promised that the patch will be sent out to other regions soon. Users can check for the update manually by going to the Galaxy Store, pressing the hamburger menu on the upper left side, and selecting "Updates".
This approach is in line with the comprehensive One UI 8 expansion of Samsung which also incorporates the Galaxy A24, 4G versions of the A15, A16, and A17 along with the Galaxy Tab A9 among others.
