Google Fit app for iOS has received a couple of interesting features that would track the heart rate of users and count the number of breaths they take using the camera.

Google Fit can track and measure the heart rate of the user using the iPhone camera. Users apparently do not need an active internet connection to make the feature work. Google Fit for iOS has also received another interesting update that will help users keep a track of the number of breaths they take.

Google Fit for iOS has got some interesting updates. The app reportedly can track and measure the heart rate of the user using the iPhone camera. The user is required to place their finger on the rear camera leans and apply light pressure to get measure their heart rate. Users apparently do not need an active internet connection to make the feature work. Google Fit's heart and the respiratory feature were first rolled out to the Pixel phones.

Additionally, users would not even require an active internet connection to use this feature. It would make the app close to 30 seconds to measure your heart rate when you place your finger on the rear camera. The preview graph and BPM will appear on the app once you remove your finger after 30 seconds. You can either do away with the details or save the vitals for future references.

Google has introduced the features as Android-first only. Later on, the health and respiratory features were rolled out to the Pixel phones. Google Fit is yet to update its app page on Apple's App Store. As per reports, the Google Fit app was last updated in November. Google is yet to add that it has rolled out the heart and respiratory feature for iPhone users as well.
