Nothing has introduced a new smartphone to its family — Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, and it is the company’s first entry-level model. It was first branded under Nothing after the successful launch of CMF-branded phones, and Nothing has branded higher-end models like the Phone, Phone Plus, and Phone Pro—this is the first time they are presenting a model in the budget category with the “Lite” tag.
The Nothing Phone (3a) Lite has a lot of similarities with CMF Phone 2 Pro at first sight, but there are also minor differences that should not be overlooked. The CMF model is much lighter and has a better camera, but the other specs stay mostly the same.
The new Lite model has a huge 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro processor. The 5,000mAh battery is coupled with 33W wired charging and is thus in line with all the other recent releases from Nothing and CMF.
Company stays true to its distinct design with this new device. The Phone (3a) Lite has a unique look combining a semi-transparent rear glass panel and a matte-finished frame with a glossy glass back. The build is smooth enough to feel nice in the hand but at the same time a bit slippery.
The smartphone has a Lite version of the beloved Glyph interface. The Lite model replaces the numerous light strips with just one LED, which is situated at the bottom-right corner of the rear panel and is used for notifications and alerts.
The Phone (3a) Lite is available from Nothing in Black and White colors. The starting price for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model is $249 / €249 / £249, while the 8GB + 256GB model is $279 / €279 / £279. Open sales have already begun and review units are gradually being sent by Nothing to the media.
The retail package contains a USB-C charging cable and a basic silicone case but excludes a power adapter.
