Noise secures strategic Series A round funding from Bose

Indian audio and wearables brand Noise has secured strategic funding from Bose, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. The investment, undisclosed in its exact amount, is part of Noise's Series A round. Strategic funding typically implies a collaborative effort between the investor and the business to foster growth, expand into new markets, and drive product innovation.

With this strategic alliance, Bose, a well-established player in the audio industry since 1964, is expected to leverage its expertise and supply chain capabilities to assist Noise in taking its products to global markets. The partnership aims to bring premium-segment products, cutting-edge technology, and a commitment to democratizing the best possible user experience in the smart wearables segment.

Gaurav Khatri, CEO and co-founder of Noise, emphasized the synergy between the two companies, describing it as a collaboration between "two tech giants united by a passion for innovation." The partnership holds the potential to unlock new markets, push boundaries, and make a significant impact in the world of smart wearables.

While Noise had initially gained prominence in the Indian smart wearables market through a bootstrapped journey, the collaboration with Bose is expected to provide a substantial boost. The partnership aligns with Bose's strategy to reach more people in India with its advanced audio technology.

Nicholas Smith, Senior Vice-President of Strategy and Business Development at Bose, highlighted Noise's leadership in the wearables category and its understanding of customers, expressing confidence in the ability to collaborate and introduce differentiated products to a growing market.

In terms of financial performance, Noise saw a decline in profits to Rs 88 lakh in FY23 from Rs 36 crore in FY22. However, its revenues witnessed an increase from Rs 793 crore in FY22 to Rs 1,427 crore in FY23. The collaboration with Bose is expected to drive further innovation, market presence, and profitability for Noise in the evolving landscape of smart wearables.
