Vivo has made its premium smartphone series richer in India with the introduction of X300 and X300 Pro. These devices were initially presented at a Shanghai event on October 13, and the Pro model is expected to rival the likes of Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Oppo Find X9 Pro. The X300 Pro features a remarkable camera system, the latest MediaTek chipset, and a visually appealing design which, although it has evolved, still bears resemblance to previous Vivo high-end smartphones more than some competitors do.

The X300 Pro's innovative design is highlighted by its large circular camera cluster on the backside, while the phones’ sides are noticeably flatter in comparison to the former models. Vivo has consistently reduced the curves on its top-tier phones, a strategy that is not only aesthetic but also functional: it makes holding the phones more secure than their precursors like X100 Pro. The X300 Pro weighs 228 grams, which is a fairly noticeable weight that is, however, well-balanced making it still a comfortable companion for extended periods of usage. The phone is still IP68 and IP69 certified and thus resistant to dust and water.

An Action Button has been introduced on the left side of the phone, replacing the conventional Camera Control seen in other brands. The button is able to recognize three types of actions – long press, double press, and normal press – and offers shortcuts like activating Do Not Disturb with a long press or turning on the flashlight with a double press; these functionalities are not yet available on Apple iPhones.

When it comes to display, the X300 Pro comes with a huge 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, with ultra-thin bezels that make the phone a little thinner and shorter compared to the previous model. The display has a 1,260 x 2,800 resolution at 452ppi, a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and a 94.85 percent screen-to-body ratio, guaranteeing bright images and clear HDR content even in sunny places.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, together with a maximum of 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, performs as the main source for the device's functionality. Vivo guarantees a smooth daily operation and a stable gaming experience without overheating, which is a result of major thermal improvements compared to the previous year's Dimensity 9400 chip and other competitor's devices.

Photography is still the strongest point of the Vivo X300 Pro, that comes with a triple rear camera arrangement. This setup consists of a 50MP main sensor from Sony, a 200MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
