Samsung is preparing to launch its seventh-generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, at its Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July. A key highlight of the upcoming devices is expected to be the integration of Gemini Live, a real-time conversational AI feature.
Tech insider @PandaFlashPro revealed on X that Gemini Live will take center stage during the product reveal. This two-way multimodal AI, introduced earlier this year alongside the Galaxy S25 lineup, supports image inputs, file interactions, and video content. Samsung is expected to extend these capabilities with the upcoming foldable models.
Alongside AI enhancements, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is tipped to receive notable upgrades in imaging and display. A new 200MP primary camera may debut on the device, backed by the Pro-Visual Engine for improved photo clarity, enhanced zoom, and optimized video performance. This AI-powered imaging suite is also expected to reach the Galaxy S25 series in future updates.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 may also introduce refinements in durability, including a redesigned hinge structure, Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) with increased toughness, and a reduced profile thickness of approximately 4mm. Dust resistance could also see improvements with the use of internal protective brushes.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is rumored to focus on upgraded camera output, more capable cover screen features, and new protective case designs. Both foldables are anticipated to support Galaxy AI utilities such as Pro-Scaler, Generative Edit tools, and Now Brief for contextual device updates.
Samsung might also provide a teaser for Project Moohan, the company’s extended reality (XR) headset in development.
In parallel, pricing for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24 has been revised on Amazon India, offering users potential discounts ahead of the foldable launch.
