An unauthorized leak of Huawei’s Mate 70 Air has taken place in China Telecom's product listings, showcasing it under the model number SUP-AL90. This has indicated the possible launch of the company’s new “Air” series. The listing had three colors: black, white, and silver, and listed HarmonyOS 5.0 as the OS that comes pre-installed. The listing was taken down quite soon after it went up, and it is no longer available to the public.
The database shows that the smartphone could have a 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. There could be a version with 12 GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB internal memory, but these specifications are only tentative and might be different at the time of launch. There is no clear information about eSIM support, and Huawei has not said anything officially about the point where ‘Air’ lies within the Mate series.
Huawei has also not said anything about the Mate 70 Air launch date or price, so techies and the industry are all waiting for the official word. The brief listing at China Telecom is one of the first solid signs of what the “Air” series may reveal, which could mean a change in Huawei's strategy regarding its top Mate's lineup.
