New Honor Watch 5 Ultra Features ECG, 15-Day Battery

Honor has rolled out its latest wearable, the Honor Watch 5 Ultra, in the Chinese market, coinciding with the release of the new Magic V5 foldable smartphone. Crafted with a titanium alloy frame and protected by sapphire crystal glass, the watch is available in three variants.

The Honor Watch 5 Ultra comes in three strap configurations:

* Speedster (Black fluororubber strap): CNY 1,999 (-~Rs. 23,300)

* Commander (Brown leather strap): CNY 2,299 (-~Rs. 27,000)

* Strategist (Titanium metal strap): CNY 2,899 (-~Rs. 34,000)

All models are currently sold only within mainland China.

The smartwatch sports a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with 466x466 resolution and 310 ppi pixel density. It includes sapphire glass protection and a titanium chassis for durability. Users can interact via two functional buttons with programmable long and short press capabilities.

Core health features include ECG functionality and continuous heart rate tracking. Other integrated sensors include a gyroscope, ambient light sensor, barometer, accelerometer, and geomagnetic sensor. The device supports more than a dozen sports modes such as running, cycling, and swimming.

Running on MagicOS 9.0, the Honor Watch 5 Ultra features built-in eSIM support for standalone calling and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless connectivity. Additional features include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, NFC, and QZSS. It comes with 64MB RAM and 8GB storage, and also includes the Yoyo voice assistant.

The device is powered by a 480mAh battery. Users can expect up to:

* 15 days with standard use (no eSIM)

* 7 days with always-on display

* 3 days in eSIM mode

Charging is supported wirelessly. The watch measures 46.3 x 46.3 x 11.4 mm and weighs 51.8 grams without the strap. With an IP68 rating, the Watch 5 Ultra is built to resist dust and water, suitable for various daily and outdoor activities.
