The tech industry carried over the week with a series of major launches, which cut across different segments such as premium and entry-level smartphones, wearables, and home devices, thereby giving the buyers more options. Among the announcements, Foldables, AI-enabled gadgets, and miniaturized home tech were the stars while many brands were working on getting smoother software experiences to the users in India.
Samsung launches Galaxy Z TriFold
Samsung took a big step in its foldable category by presenting the Galaxy Z TriFold, which transforms into a near-tablet form factor through its three-part structure. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and comes with a large 5,600mAh battery. Along with the 200MP main camera, the device is given an IP48 rating for protection.
Vivo lets consumers get the X300 series with OriginOS 6
Vivo has now selected the Indian market to begin the sale of the X300 and X300 Pro, the latter being the first phone in India that will get Android-16-based OriginOS 6 instead of FunTouchOS. Both variants are equipped with the latest Zeiss-tuned cameras and the state-of-the-art MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 processor.
OPPO has come out with the A6x 5G, a new budget smartphone
OPPO has increased its range of A-series with the introduction of A6x 5G. The device has a massive 6.75-inch display with a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz, a Dimensity 6300 SoC, and a big 6,500mAh battery. It is offered with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The pricing for the phone begins from Rs 12,499 and it is available at OPPO’s online store, Amazon, Flipkart, and select offline stores.
Realme unveils P4x 5G along with Watch 5
The P4x 5G by Realme was launched which is equipped with Dimensity 7400 Ultra chip, 6.72-inch FHD+ display, and IP64 rated body. The main 50MP camera takes the lead in the dual-camera configuration. Realme has also added the Watch 5 to its wearable products range along with the smartphone.
OnePlus held the Ace 6T launch event in China
OnePlus has launched the Ace 6T in China powered by the latest Snapdragon 8-series processor from Qualcomm. It features the Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel and comes with 8,300mAh battery capacity.
This gadget supports IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards. The entry-level model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage comes at a price of around Rs 33,000.
Nubia launches two foldables in Japan
In Japan, ZTE's Nubia brand introduced the Nubia Fold and Nubia Flip 3. The Fold variant is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a hefty 6,560mAh battery. On the other hand, the Flip 3 uses MediaTek's Dimensity 7400X chipset with a 4,610mAh battery. The Nubia Fold was priced at JPY 178,560 when it became available.
India welcomes Redmi 15C 5G
Xiaomi's Redmi division has released the Redmi 15C 5G, which has already been unveiled globally, as the company's latest entry-level 5G device. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and comes with a maximum of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device is equipped with a 50MP dual-camera setup and is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance. The lowest-priced variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for Rs 12,499.
BenQ unveils new 4K home projectors
The leading projector maker BenQ has announced the availability of its TK705i and TK705STi models in India. With 4K UHD resolution, 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness, and 16W speakers, both the projectors guarantee great picture and sound quality. The company asserts that the projector is apt for compact rooms like bedrooms and living rooms.
