Motorola has, without making much noise, placed its future Edge 70 on the Polish and German websites, which is a sign of an international launch that is about to happen. The phone, which has not yet been officially announced, discloses its features and cost ahead of time.
The Edge 70 is the global model of the Chinese-only Motorola X70 Air. The device comes in three colors: Pantone Gadget Grey, Pantone Lilly Pad, and Pantone Bronze Green. The gadget boasts of a 6.67-inch pOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a dazzling peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, which makes it one of the brightest displays among Motorola’s offerings so far.
To the core, the Edge 70 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset together with a 4,800mAh battery. The charging speeds are quite impressive as they include 68W wired and 15W wireless, promising a longer battery life than that of the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air, which are equipped with 3,900mAh batteries. The phone is only 6mm thick and weighs 159g, thereby highlighting its ultra-lightweight and neat design.
The device is powered by Android 16 with the promise of four major OS updates and six years of security patches. Notably, the device comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings that protect it against dust and water exposure respectively, even in high-pressure jets.
As far as camera functions are concerned, there is a rectangular module that contains a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, with a 50MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone comes in one variant only: 12GB RAM plus 512GB storage. The European price is set at £700, equating to roughly Rs 82,000, while the Indian price is expected to be around Rs 1 lakh.
In addition, Motorola has presented pre-order enticements, one being a free Moto Tag, Moto Watch Fit, Moto Buds Loop, and a 68W fast charger. Despite employing a mid-range chipset, the Edge 70 is priced lower than the flagship counterparts such as the Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air, thereby gaining a place in the premium segment as a contender.
