According to a recent report, WhatsApp is introducing a feature that allows subscribers to leave voice and video messages if the calls are not answered. The new feature range is first available to the iPhone users via the App Store and then it will be rolled out to other devices.
The Meta-owned app has also restructured its calls section with the goal of optimizing call management and making it easier to reach functions related to calls. The main new feature noted by the WABetaInfo, a channel that follows the WhatsApp changes, is that the user is now able to record a short voice note directly from the call screen when the intended person does not answer.
The app now allows the user to record a short audio message which will automatically be sent to the user's chat along with a notification of the missed call. This function provides users with the opportunity to give important news without having to compose long messages.
WhatsApp has included an analogous choice for video calls. The app has now started to prompt users to leave short video messages from the call interface when notifying about missed video calls. This not only indicates the recipient the nature of the call but also builds a more intimate communication experience.
The modernized calls tab is an all-encompassing platform for all actions connected to calls. Users can in one go get the contacts, set up groups, handle favorites, and make one-on-one or group calls involving up to 31 people right from the same window. The redesign has done away with the unnecessary moves, thus making daily calling quicker and simpler.
What is more, the app has started offering call scheduling feature. The customers are allowed to prearrange voice or video calls and notify the event within a chat. A reminder is sent to all participants when a call is set up thus cutting down the number of missed discussions. This is a very practical tool for team meetings, family gatherings on phone or group communication.
The monitoring of the update's performance is now in process and the update is expected to gain access to the whole world very soon. WhatsApp's goal is to improve user communication in a way that more flexible, efficient, and organized calling options will be made available.
