Google is gearing up to introduce more devices under its Pixel series by launching Pixel 10a, a mid-range phone anticipated to come out in the early part of 2026. The device that appeared in a certification list for Verizon will be an affordable alternative to the recently introduced Pixel 10 series and will come after the Pixel 9a that was released earlier this year.
Leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) reported that the Pixel 10a would embody the same design concept as its predecessor but would include several upgrade features. The phone has cleared Verizon's certification checks which foretells a near release.
The Pixel 10a which is soon to be released is most probably going to have a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that would allow refreshing rates from 60Hz to 120Hz depending on the content shown. The maximum brightness could be as high as 2,000 nits making the screen legible even in sunlight.
The camera system is likely to be improved with the introduction of a dual rear camera consisting of a 48MP primary lens and a 13MP auxiliary lens that will offer a wide 119.7-degree angle of view. A 13MP front camera will be provided for taking selfies and video calls.
As for the performance, the Pixel 10a might come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB storage options. The smartphone processor will have to be none other than Google's very own Tensor G4 which is built to juggle multiple tasks and AI-driven jobs without breaking a sweat.
Battery life seems to be an area of concern, as the phone will most likely come with a 5,100mAh battery. Users will have faster mobile internet access on both networks with 5G and 4G connectivity provided.
In terms of exterior design, the Pixel 10a will be very much similar to the Pixel 9a maintaining an unpretentious yet functional look. The cost of the phone is expected to be tagged at the amount of $499, which is around Rs 44,000, thus making it a fairly priced option in Google’s 2025 smartphone market.
