OnePlus Turbo with 9,000mAh battery could debut as Nord phone in India, offering high-performance gaming, large display, and long-lasting battery life.

It is rumoured that OnePlus has a mid-range phone destined for India whose battery might be the biggest among all OnePlus phones. According to industry insiders, the new device could be referred to as OnePlus Turbo worldwide and be marketed as a Nord series in India.
The device is likely to be unveiled in China around January 2026 and will have a 6.8-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It will probably be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, which will be an advantage for multitasking and gaming in the mid-range category.
The capacity of the battery seems to be the main point of attraction. A huge 9,000mAh unit is what rumors claim, and it is more than OnePlus 15R’s 7,400mAh battery which was announced earlier this year. The big battery will surely be an attraction for consumers whose main concern is long usage.
Not much has been said about the design. The first reports suggest an upper left squircle-shaped camera module with a shiny plastic back. It is likely that the back camera has two lenses, but the specs are still not out.
OnePlus China President, Li Jie Louis has stated on Weibo that the new Turbo series will have the best performance, the longest battery life, and the best gaming capabilities among the competitors in the same price bracket. According to the analysts, the Feb 2026 MWC event may host the phone's Indian launch as well.
Should OnePlus Turbo get to be a Nord phone in India, it would not only will but also be the one setting the mid-range standard - combining long battery life with decent hardware and high-refresh displays.
