Planning to buy a Mac? Apple Store deliveries could be delayed by up to five months
Mac Studio delivery delay hits up to 5 months due to global memory shortage. Mac mini M4 and high-memory variants face delays on Apple online store.
Apple's higher-spec Mac Studio and Mac mini models are facing extended delivery timelines. There is some configuration that might take upto five months.

If you are planning to purchase a Mac mini or Mac Studio, the waiting period would be about five months to get the product in your hands. The deliveries of the selected variants of the M4 Max Mac Studio, M3 Ultra Mac Studio, and M4-series chip-powered Mac mini have been pushed back by a few months. It is expected due to the Global memory shortage.
Take an example, on the Apple online store, the expected delivery date of the products is shown between May 13 and May 19. The list of products includes the M3 Ultra chip-powered Mac Studio with a 28-core CPU and 60-core GPU. They are expected to pair with 96GB unified memory and 1TB storage. Therefore, if you choose the 256GB unified memory option, the website will shows that the device could take four to five months to get delivered.
It must be noted that the 512GB unified memory choice for the M3 Ultra Mac Studio is no longer mentioned on the Apple online store.
Just like that, a Mac Studio with the M4 Max chip in a 16-core CPU and 40-core GPU configuration can take up to 3 months to get delivered. However, the 128GB unified memory choice can take up to five months.
However, the Mac mini deliveries are not pushed back when it comes to the Mac Studio; the higher memory variants are just facing some holdups. Take an example, the Mac mini with the M4 Pro chip in a 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU configuration is demanded to be delivered by April 24 if you select the 24GB unified memory variant. Meanwhile, the 64GB unified memory choice can take 5 months to be delivered.
