Lava Bold N1 5G at Rs 7,499: Cheapest 5G Phone in India?

Lava has expanded its smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Bold N1 5G, positioning it as one of the country’s least expensive 5G-ready handsets. The device goes on sale during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival, beginning at an effective price of Rs 7,499.
The phone is compatible with major Indian carriers including Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and BSNL. It features a 6.75-inch HD+ screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Buyers can choose between two color options – Champagne Gold and Royal Blue.
On the imaging front, the Bold N1 5G carries a dual rear camera unit led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor. A 5-megapixel front camera with screen flash handles selfies. Video recording up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second is supported, which is uncommon in this price range.
The device is powered by UNISOC’s T765 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM, along with an option to extend memory virtually by another 4GB. Storage is offered in 64GB and 128GB configurations, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. A 5,000 mAh battery backs the hardware, with Lava citing up to 30 hours of talk time or 10 hours of video streaming on a single charge. Charging is handled over USB Type-C.
The Bold N1 5G comes with Android 15 out of the box, running a clean interface without bloatware or ads. Lava has committed to one major operating system upgrade and two years of security patches. Customers will also have access to the company’s doorstep after-sales program, Free Service@Home.
Pricing is set at Rs 7,499 for the 4GB + 64GB version and Rs 7,999 for the 4GB + 128GB model. Promotional offers with SBI cards bring the costs down to Rs 6,749 and Rs 7,249 respectively. The phone will be sold exclusively through Amazon.
