Vivo is strengthening its presence in India’s mid-segment smartphone market with the launch of the Vivo V60, a handset that blends a slim frame, a 6,500mAh battery, and a ZEISS-backed triple camera system. Priced between Rs 36,999 and Rs 45,999, the device is positioned against competitors like iQOO Neo 10 and OnePlus 13R.

The Vivo V60 stands out for being one of the slimmest devices with a high-capacity battery, measuring 7.75 mm in thickness. Despite its size, it feels lightweight and easy to handle. The handset comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with P3 wide colour gamut, curved edges, and minimal bezels. With 5,000 nits peak brightness, it ensures visibility even in harsh sunlight. The phone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering dust and water resistance beyond the usual IP68 standard.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the V60 is available in 8GB and 16GB RAM variants, with 128GB to 512GB storage options. In daily use, app loading and gaming performance are quick and stable, and Vivo claims over one million Antutu benchmark points.

The device runs FunTouchOS and is backed by a software support plan promising four years of Android updates and six years of security patches, placing it in line with premium competitors. Vivo has included AI-driven tools such as Circle to Search, reflection removal, spam call filtering, and AI captions.

The V60 features a ZEISS triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. A 50MP main sensor (Sony IMX766) and 8MP ultra-wide lens round out the array. Vivo’s VCS spectrum technology enhances colour reproduction, while night photography delivers low noise and high dynamic range.

Portrait photography is supported by ZEISS’s signature bokeh styles such as Planar, Sonnar, and Distagon. The 50MP front camera includes autofocus, wide-angle support, and 4K video recording, while Vivo’s India-specific Wedding Vlog mode automatically edits clips for cinematic storytelling.

Battery life is a major selling point. The 6,500mAh battery delivers up to two days of use on moderate workloads, often retaining 30–40 per cent charge after a full day. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge, enabling a 0–50% charge in under 25 minutes, though wireless charging is not offered.

The V60 enters a segment dominated by devices like the iQOO Neo 10 (Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 7,000mAh battery) and the OnePlus 13R (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 6,000mAh battery). Vivo aims to attract users seeking battery endurance, camera performance, and a sleek design over raw processing power.
