Recent leaks suggest that Samsung is going to up the ante on its charging developments for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company's 2026 flagship range, consisting of the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra models, might be the first to offer charging speeds that are quite fast compared to the earlier generations' minor improvements.
According to a report from Android Authority, a teardown of One UI 8.5 has unveiled that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might be capable of Super Fast Charging 3.0. Though the precise speed is not explicitly stated, the leaks suggest that the Korean tech giant could increase the charging speed from 45W to 60W for the Ultra-one. This change would still be less than that of some competitors who offer 100W or more but would certainly be a great leap for the company’s luxurious gadgets nonetheless.
The rumors about the new S26 lineup are rooted in multiple sources and the usual three variants of S26 are already talked about for January 2023. The talk about the next Plus variant being replaced by a new thin or Edge model has been dismissed by the tipster Yogesh Brar, who believes it is unlikely that this will happen anytime soon.
Experts are saying that Samsung's camera capabilities and design features in the S26 series have had a strong influence on the consumers. Still, faster charging has always been a significant demand for the Ultra model. The company has been often delaying the implementation of quicker charging, so the 60W upgrade proves to be a prominent development.
Gradually and to a certain extent, the improvements that the Galaxy S26 series will bring about will be very practical. Samsung's approach shows that the brand is putting the performance-enhancements that are reliable to the core and at the same time keeping the model structure familiar.
