It looks like Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO is very close to introducing its next Reno series, which will be the OPPO Reno 15 line-up. The recent Geekbench listing, which GSMArena was the first to report, shows a device, presumably one of the Reno models, being put through its paces with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor and 16GB of RAM, an indication that the series is nearly ready for a commercial launch.
According to sources from the industry, the new series will consist of three models—the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and the Reno 15 Pro Max. The firm is likely to showcase these phones in China sometime in December, and then the launch will be extended to other regions, including India.
Although the listing does not provide information about the specific model tested, there is speculation that it was either the Reno 15 or 15 Pro, as the high-end Pro Max version is rumored to come with the Dimensity 9400 processor, which is more powerful than the one used in the latter two models.
It seems that OPPO sticks to its traditional three-tier structure this time around, albeit with considerable internal upgrades and bigger batteries for the entire series.
In line with GSMArena's information, the Reno 15 Pro Max could pack a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1272x2800 pixels resolution. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Android 16-based ColorOS 16 and have storage options of up to 1TB.
The Pro Max will also reportedly include a 200MP main camera alongside two 50MP secondary sensors and a 50MP front-facing camera. A massive 6,500mAh battery might be the one providing power on this, with support for 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Informed by Smartprix, the Reno 15 Pro will utilize the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display, though it might even go further and set the refresh rate at as high as 144Hz. The smartphone is predicted to be powered by the Dimensity 8450 processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The camera system features a combination of a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP secondary sensor, and an 8MP telephoto lens, plus the ease of a 50MP front-facing camera. Moreover, the device will be equipped with a 6,600mAh battery capable of being charged at 100W.
What to Expect from the Reno 15 Series Launch
Reno 15 series of OPPO might be the most performance-focused devices the company has ever made, if the leaks are correct. Apart from that, the OPPO would continue its stronghold with high-quality cameras, fast charging, and good-looking devices.
The first-upgraded mid-tier devices are expected to be the Reno 15 series, with their most potent CPUs—MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 and 8450—and the very latest ColorOS 16 over Android 16. The official announcement in China is expected in December; India’s launch might follow closely afterward.
