OnePlus is taking steps to broaden its smartphone roadmap for future launches beyond just the upcoming OnePlus 15R phone in India this week. In addition to this, the company has also revealed that it is working on another device series called OnePlus Turbo which is going to change the way it sues the segment of the market that is focused on performance.

The company shared the news on its social media accounts Monday. The picture of the future Turbo lineup was painted in bright colors by the company, which it described as being a potential core of its product line rather than a one-off experiment, and this was done by giving a clear indication of the brand’s sustained performance and power-efficient strategy.

In fact, using the “Turbo” label implies that OnePlus is directing its attention to the performance-first segment. The company suggests that the new line will mainly cover features such as processing speed and battery longevity, thus the users who require steady performance even when the device is heavily used will be their target. There is talk of the Turbo series first appearing in 2026, however, the manufacturer has not given any clues about the technical details or precise unwrapping of the stage.

According to first plans for distribution it seems that the Turbo phones would be made available in China at first and only later, the rest of the world would be considered. India might be later included based on the demand in the region and the product’s positioning. A top OnePlus official in China has already confirmed that the new series will fall into the range of company’s existing flagships and Nords.

The flagship number series at OnePlus currently targets the premium segment of the market, while the Nord series is for the mid-range segment.

The Turbo phones seem to be put in between these categories, with a possibility of overlapping with the Ace and R-series devices concerning pricing and performance. Nevertheless, the company is trying to project Turbo as a performance-focused brand rather than a general-purpose model.

Turbo lineup is assumed to consist of phones with the biggest battery. OnePlus has suggested that the battery life of these devices will be on par with the best in class, while at the same time, the speed will not be decreased at all, and in fact, the entire situation fits very well with gaming and high-performance use. Hence, it is very likely that OnePlus will be facing companies like iQOO and Realme's GT series head-on since they have already built a strong user base of performance-seeking people.

The question of whether the Turbo series will take on the main flagship models is still unanswered. Observers from the industry have opined that it is more likely to be placed just below the top-end OnePlus phones, utilizing the latest or previous-generation flagship chipsets to keep the expenses in check while still delivering high performance levels.

At the same time, OnePlus is concentrating on its upcoming product launches. The OnePlus 15R is set to make its global debut in India this week. The launch event will also unveil the OnePlus Pad Go 2 tablet and the Watch 2 Lite for limited international markets.

The OnePlus 15R is awaited to carry a price tag of less than Rs 50,000 for the initial version in India, with more discounts for banks and a launch offers likely to be proclaimed along with the introduction. The device is regarded as a value-for-money option within the flagship family and thus carrying the company’s strategy of having more than one performance levels across the whole lineup.
