Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO is set to unveil its latest flagship, the iQOO 15, in China next month, succeeding last year’s iQOO 13 model. Ahead of the official launch, leaked details and company-released camera samples have revealed major specifications and features of the upcoming handset.
Vivo has shared four images captured using the iQOO 15, highlighting the performance of its periscope telephoto and ultrawide lenses. The company’s post on Weibo demonstrates the device’s ability to zoom on distant objects, with one sensor referred to as a “super periscope telephoto lens” capable of 100x digital zoom.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed additional specifications of the iQOO 15 on Weibo. The phone is expected to feature a 6.85-inch Samsung display with 2K resolution (3,168×1,440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. Reports suggest it will have a “large R-angle design,” a term indicating a conventional curved-edge screen layout.
The iQOO 15 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Leaks indicate it may also include iQOO’s proprietary Q3 chip. Battery capacity is projected at 7,000mAh with support for 100W wired charging, and the device could include wireless charging capabilities. The handset is expected to provide full waterproof protection, dual stereo speakers, and an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback.
Camera details suggest a triple-rear setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 1/1.5-inch sensor size, alongside a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The third rear sensor is likely an ultrawide lens, enhancing versatility for photography.
The iQOO 15 is anticipated to launch in India later this year, possibly in November or December, following its China debut in October. A new colour variant, called “Lingyun,” will be available, featuring a red and silver gradient finish.
