The iQOO 15, which was first unveiled in China last month, is set to hit the Indian market on November 26. Prior to the launch, credible sources have reported that the smartphone will be having broad software support, thus making it one of the longest-supported handsets in the market.
Rumor has it that the iQOO 15 will be giving its users a total of five years of operating system upgrades together with seven years of security updates. The smartphone is pre-installed with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, which implies that users will be able to stay updated till Android 20 in the long run.
This support signifies a dramatic turnaround in the company's support policy as compared to earlier iQOO models. As an example, the iQOO 12 at first had three years of OS updates, which was eventually increased to four years. Now the five-year update cycle becomes the new benchmark for the company's flagship series.
As far as hardware is concerned, the iQOO 15 brings Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power under the hood. It has a giant battery of 7,000mAh and supports both wired and wireless charging. It features a Samsung M14 OLED panel with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits ensuring a good reading experience even under the sun. The camera front is taken care of by a triple camera setup at the back, opening up diverse photography possibilities.
