iQOO has made it known that its next powerhouse smartphone, the iQOO 15, will be launching in India in the month of November. The phone is already flagged to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside the OriginOS 6 powered by Android 16 as its operating system.
The iQOO 15 will come with a 6.85-inch 2K flat LTPO AMOLED display having a 144Hz refresh rate. With respect to photography, it is assumed that the phone will feature a triad of main 50 MP sensor with OIS, 50 MP ultra-wide, and 50 MP periscope telephoto with 3X optical zoom and 100X digital zoom, along with a 50 MP front camera for taking selfies and video calls.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be the powerhouse behind the iQOO 15, a processor which is also used in the 17 series of Xiaomi and Realme GT 8 Pro. Moreover, iQOO’s Q3 gaming chip will be integrated into the device, providing real-time frame interpolation and visual optimization, thus, gaming performance will be boosted.
Memory and storage configurations will consist of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for expediting app launches and making file access smoother. The 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging will keep the phone running all day long.
iQOO 15 will come with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 interface, which will bring several performance enhancements. OriginOS 6 consists of the Origin Smooth Engine that is responsible for managing the computing, storage, and display very effectively.
Tools such as Origin Island, DocMaster, AI Retouch, and Smart Call Assistant are aimed to make the experience user-friendly. Vivo asserts that the cold-start times for apps have been reduced by 18%, and there is a 10% increase in frame-rate stability, thus, smoother long-term performance is guaranteed.
The iQOO 15 is expected to launch in India in mid to late November after it has gone on sale in China. The starting price is projected to be in the region of Rs. 60,000, which is a bit more than that of iQOO 13.
