iQOO has revealed key specifications for its next flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, ahead of its anticipated global release later this month, including in India. The company confirmed that the device will support wireless charging, a feature absent in its predecessor, the iQOO 13.

The iQOO 15 is expected to be priced higher than the previous generation in India. Industry sources indicate the device could be priced between Rs 60,000 and Rs 65,000, up from the iQOO 13’s launch price of Rs 54,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage base variant.

According to a post shared on Weibo, iQOO’s product manager Galant V (translated from Chinese) highlighted that the new model will incorporate a seven-cell Blue Ocean battery design. The company said this design will support wireless charging and be compatible with the “Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0” standard. This setup aims to deliver extended usage for gaming, video playback, and navigation while maintaining battery health.

The iQOO 13, launched in December 2024, featured a 6,000mAh battery with 120W wired FlashCharge but did not offer wireless charging. In contrast, the iQOO 15 is rumored to house a 7,000mAh battery and 100W wired charging, reflecting a shift in iQOO’s power management strategy.

Leaks and industry reports suggest the iQOO 15 will feature a 6.85-inch Samsung display with a 2K resolution of 3,168×1,440 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to run on iQOO’s proprietary Q3 chip in combination with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

On the camera front, the iQOO 15 may include a 50MP primary sensor measuring 1/1.5 inches, accompanied by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, offering enhanced photography capabilities.

The iQOO 15 5G is set to debut globally in the coming weeks, including a rollout in the Indian market. Analysts predict the updated wireless charging feature, larger battery, and upgraded performance could position the device competitively against rivals such as Xiaomi, Vivo, Samsung, and OnePlus in the premium segment.
