With the iPhone SE 4 set to be unveiled next Wednesday, Apple enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating its arrival. After being rumored for over two years, the iPhone SE 4 is finally poised to make its debut on February 19, 2025. The new phone is expected to bring major upgrades, and here's a breakdown of the five features I'm most excited about:

1. A Sleek, Modern Design with Face ID

The iPhone SE 4 will undergo a significant design overhaul, abandoning the outdated, bulky bezels of previous models. Expect a 6.1-inch OLED screen with slimmed-down edges, bringing a fresh and modern look. For the first time on the SE line, Face ID will replace the traditional Home button and Touch ID. With the addition of a notch at the top for sensors, users will unlock their phone just by glancing at it. Plus, the phone will feature flat sides, a new Action button, and a USB-C charging port, marking the end of the Lightning port.

2. MagSafe Charging

Apple is introducing MagSafe charging to the iPhone SE 4. This upgrade enables the use of magnetic accessories like wallets and kickstands and supports MagSafe-enabled wireless chargers for precise alignment. While MagSafe has been available on other iPhone models since 2020, its arrival on the SE line is a significant bonus.

3. Enhanced Performance and Apple Intelligence

The iPhone SE 4 will make the jump from the A15 chip to the A18, the same processor used in the iPhone 16 series. This upgrade means faster performance, with the SE 4 offering nearly flagship-level power at a more affordable price. Additionally, the phone is expected to feature 8GB of RAM, paving the way for Apple Intelligence, enhancing the phone’s AI capabilities.

4. Improved Battery Life

Battery life on previous iPhone SE models has been a common gripe, especially with the smaller 4.7-inch displays. But with the SE 4's larger 6.1-inch screen and more efficient A18 chip, Apple aims to provide a full day's worth of battery life. While the exact battery size is unknown, the iPhone 16 ships with a 3,561mAh cell, so the SE 4 might feature a similar battery.

5. Upgraded Camera Quality

While the iPhone SE 4 will have a single 48MP rear camera, it promises better overall image quality compared to the 12MP camera on the iPhone SE 3. Thanks to a new sensor designed to capture more light and detail, photos will look sharper and more vibrant in various lighting conditions. While there may be no zoom functionality or wide-angle shots, the improved picture quality will be a notable step up.

Stay tuned for the official release of the iPhone SE 4, as these upgrades are sure to make it one of the most anticipated mid-range smartphones of 2025.
