The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has unmasked the super critical security flaw in a lot of Apple gadgets and has hence called for software's immediate update to prevent any cyber-attacks.

The Indian government's cybersecurity agency has stated that various security issues have cropped up in different Apple systems. Making use of these vulnerabilities could allow the hackers to get control through unauthorized code, acquire higher access, take away the private data, circumvent the protections, or even disable the services. The alert particularly mentions the outdated softwares of iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, VisionPro, Safari, and Xcode etc. as the places where the problem lies.

Still, the devices with iOS and iPadOS versions earlier than 26.1, macOS Sequoia before 15.1 and so on are most easily susceptible. The bugs are located in basic system parts such as the Kernel, WebKit, CoreAnimation, and Siri. CERT-In mentioned several CVEs which are related to the problems.

The security watchdog underlined the topmost risk associated with these holes, claiming that attackers could take over the entire system, steal information that is not meant for them or make the device nonfunctional while normal use of it is going on. Possible consequences of this are stealing data, spreading malware, and system crashing completely.

CERT-In asks everyone among Apple's customers to carry out the latest updates without any delay. The updates that are to carry out—iOS 26.1, watchOS 11.1, tvOS 18.1, VisionOS 2.1, and macOS updates—are all falling in the category of patches for the problems detected. Users are also advised to turn on auto-software updates, install only those apps which are from trusted sources, and be careful with doubtful links or downloads.
