Apple is all set to unveil the much-awaited iPhone 17 series at its “Awe Dropping” launch event on September 9, 2025. The lineup is expected to include the standard iPhone 17, the slim iPhone 17 Air, as well as the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models. Compared to last year’s iPhone 16, Apple is tipped to introduce major hardware and performance upgrades. Here are five big improvements expected in the iPhone 17 series.
1. New A19 Chipset
The iPhone 17 series is likely to be powered by the all-new A19 chip, promising faster speeds, enhanced efficiency, and improved AI capabilities. This would be a notable leap from the A18 chip in the iPhone 16 lineup.
2. 120Hz Display on Standard Model
Apple is finally bringing a 120Hz ProMotion display to the base iPhone 17, replacing the older 60Hz panel on the iPhone 16. This will deliver smoother scrolling, sharper animations, and a better overall viewing experience.
3. 24MP Front Camera
