Apple is gearing up to unveil its next-generation iPhone 17 lineup in September 2025, and this year’s launch could bring more than just the usual upgrades. The iPhone 17 series is expected to include four models: the standard iPhone 17, a new slim-profile iPhone 17 Air (replacing the Plus variant), and the flagship iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
What’s New in the iPhone 17 Pro?
Here are five major upgrades expected in the iPhone 17 Pro lineup:
1. Camera Upgrades
- 24MP Front Camera for All Models: Apple is doubling the megapixels on the front-facing camera across all models—from 12MP to 24MP—for sharper selfies and better video calls.
- 48MP Telephoto Lens (Pro Models): The Pro and Pro Max variants may get a significant rear camera upgrade with a 48MP telephoto lens, up from the 12MP lens in the iPhone 16 Pro series.
2. Redesigned Build and Look
- Aluminum Body: Apple is said to be ditching the titanium frame used in the 15 and 16 Pro models in favor of a lighter aluminum frame.

Launch Timeline and India Price
Apple typically launches its new iPhones in the first half of September, and the iPhone 17 series is expected to follow that tradition. However, a rumored iPhone 17E variant might be launched separately in early 2026.
