Apple is preparing to introduce the iPhone 17 lineup, with a launch anticipated in mid-September 2025. Industry analysts, including David Phelan, suggest the event may take place on September 9. The upcoming series is expected to feature four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a newly introduced iPhone 17 Air.
Leaks suggest the standard iPhone 17 could come in two new shades, purple and green. The iPhone 17 Pro may be offered in a new Sky Blue finish, echoing the design language of the latest M4 MacBook Air. Apple might shift from its titanium frame in Pro models to aluminum, integrating a hybrid rear design using both aluminum and glass.
Amazon India's temporary listing of Spigen’s screen protectors hinted that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro will likely include 6.3-inch displays, marking a size increase from the iPhone 16’s 6.12-inch panel. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 17 Air may feature a 6.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1260 x 2740, aligning with data from iOS 26 beta 2.
All iPhone 17 models are expected to sport a new 24MP front-facing camera. For Pro models, Apple is likely upgrading the telephoto lens to 48MP, while maintaining the primary and ultra-wide lenses from previous versions. The iPhone 17 Air could set a new benchmark in design with an ultra-thin body, measuring between 5mm and 6mm excluding the camera bump.
Initial pricing estimates suggest the base iPhone 17 could be priced at Rs 79,999. The iPhone 17 Air may launch at Rs 89,999, while the iPhone 17 Pro could be listed at Rs 1,39,900. The high-end Pro Max model might reach Rs 1,64,900. Cost increases in production and components are likely to influence this pricing structure.
