"An analysis of this strongly indicates an anticipated need for businesses to accommodate working from home as a part of their future office strategy," the report suggested.

The survey also reported that extended work hours may pose as a disadvantage of WFH. A total of 47 per cent of the respondents agreed that WFH has extended their working hours including frequent meetings per day, more emails, and long workdays.

As many as 28 per cent of employees, often with young kids and or those staying in joint families, believe that juggling home and office tasks has been a major disadvantage while working from home.

71 per cent of the participants, as per the study, said that they would prefer a hybrid model of working style that would enable them to take the benefits of both work from home and the office.

"With more productivity, a lesser number of in-office workdays, switching off the exhaustion from the daily commute, and thus saving time, WFH along with an office-based working style can be well anticipated and foreseen," the study states.
