Huawei Nova 14i unveiled: Almost 7-inch screen and huge battery life

Huawei has added a new model to its Nova lineup with the launch of the Nova 14i, a smartphone designed around size and battery capacity. The device carries a 6.95-inch IPS display and houses a 7,000mAh battery, placing it among the largest handsets in the mid-range category.
The Nova 14i uses an IPS LCD panel with 2376 x 1080 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 270Hz touch sampling rate. Its wide notch at the top includes an 8MP front-facing camera. The screen and overall frame result in dimensions of 6.77 x 3.15 x 0.35 inches and a weight of about 7.6 ounces, making portability secondary to screen size.
On the rear, Huawei has placed a circular module holding a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, supported by a 2MP depth sensor for portrait effects. The camera arrangement is designed for standard mid-range photography requirements, while the front sensor covers basic video calls and selfies.
The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset with an octa-core CPU built on a combination of four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores. It is paired with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. A side-mounted fingerprint reader provides biometric security.
The key specification is the 7,000mAh battery, which Huawei estimates can sustain up to 26 hours of continuous video playback or 31 hours of audio playback. This large power unit positions the Nova 14i as a battery-focused device for extended daily use.
Huawei has not yet disclosed launch timelines or pricing details for the Nova 14i. Previous Nova series devices such as the Nova 12i and Nova 13 reached markets outside China, suggesting that the Nova 14i may also see an international release.
