Huawei plans to launch an extensive Mate 80 series in China with a tough Mate 80 Pro Max among the different models, namely; Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Master Edition. Just before the formal announcement, the Mate 80 Pro Max has already appeared on the benchmark site and revealed some of its internal specs.
The phone whose model number is “HUAWEI SGT-AL10” appeared on Geekbench and the info was shared through Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station. The listing implies that the smartphone is going to be fitted with the novel Kirin 9030 chip, which has a nine-core arrangement and ARMv8 architecture. The chief core is rated at 2.75GHz, four more performance cores are working at 2.27GHz, and the last four with energy-saving cores are at a base frequency of 1.72GHz.
The Geekbench performance shows the phone has obtained single-core and multi-core scores of 1,131 and 4,277 points, respectively, which can be interpreted as the processing power of the device for multitasking and high-performance applications. The list also talks about approximately 15.26GB of RAM, which could be presented as 16GB, and the phone is also said to be running Android 12. It is being speculated by the analysts that this might be a placeholder since Huawei has been very slowly migrating to its HarmonyOS platform. The motherboard is labeled as “SGP”.
On the storage and configuration front, Huawei is expected to offer the Mate 80 Pro Max in two variants: 16GB RAM paired with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. Color options reportedly include Aurora Blue, Polar Night Black, Polar Silver, and Polar Day Gold, translating the Chinese marketing names.
The benchmark listing gives the most thorough technical view of Huawei's forthcoming luxury mobile phone. Mate 80 Pro Max with Kirin 9030 SoC and large memory options is set to fight hard for the high-end smartphone market. The manufacturer has not announced an official release date yet, but market analysts are expecting the series to be unveiled in China within a few weeks.
