According to Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, Digital Chat Station, a leaker, says that Huawei is preparing to launch its Mate 80 series as soon as November. The sources say November is the timetable target since the schedule could still be postponed to December.
This new series will have black, white, and turquoise to be among the several colors offered. Along with the Mate 80 line of phones, Huawei may also present a "2-in-1 tablet," but information about this product is very limited. The rumors say that the device is going to be in Moonlight Silver and Space Gray colors.
There are images that have emerged on the internet which suggest that the back camera module of the Mate 80 is going to be redesigned. The leaks are not verified, but the visuals show a significant difference in the camera layout compared to the past models.
Upgrades in hardware are expected for every phone in the line-up. It is possible that the Mate 80s will have a 100W fast-charge feature and that they will be powered by the latest Kirin SoC from Huawei. Besides, one of the models may have a cooling fan working and built into the phone which is not very common in the case of consumer smartphones.
Market experts say that Huawei’s Mate series is still concentrating on high-performance hardware and design innovations, thereby drawing users from competitive markets through superior features and quicker charging.
Till now, the company has not said anything regarding launch date, price, or specifications. The consumers and tech media will certainly be on the lookout for the official announcements in the coming month.
