Google’s Gemini Nano Banana—the AI tool behind the viral 3D figurine trend—has quickly become a social media sensation. Users are transforming selfies and photos into lifelike 3D models with just a few text prompts. But with the surge in popularity, Google has updated its policy on how many images users can generate under its Free, Pro, and Ultra plans.

New Policy on Image Generation Limits

Previously, free users could generate up to 100 images per day, while Pro and Ultra subscribers enjoyed a cap of 1,000 images per day. However, Google has now revised these rules.

Free users now get “basic access” to image generation and editing.

Pro and Ultra subscribers receive “highest access.”

Google’s updated support page clarifies that limits may change based on server capacity, with non-paying users facing restrictions before paid subscribers.

Despite the changes, Gemini Nano Banana still offers far more free image generations compared to ChatGPT, which limits users to just two images per day.

Why Gemini Nano Banana Is Trending

The Nano Banana model is faster than most AI competitors and preserves high detail while allowing complex effects through natural language prompts. This makes it especially popular for creating collectible-style 3D figurines, realistic renderings, and customized photo edits.

How to Create 3D Models with Gemini Nano Banana

  • Open the Gemini app.
  • Tap the Nano Banana icon and upload your photo.
  • Add a custom prompt, or use Google’s official 3D model prompt.
  • Google’s recommended prompt for figurine-style 3D models:

“Create a 1/7 scale commercialized figurine of the characters in the picture, in a realistic style, in a real environment. The figurine is placed on a computer desk with a transparent acrylic base. The packaging box beside it resembles high-quality collectible figure packaging, featuring original artwork and 2D illustrations.”

With these capabilities, it’s no surprise that Nano Banana continues to dominate the AI creativity trend worldwide.
