Today Honor is officially introducing its new Win series smartphones in China, thereby advancing its performance-centric segment strategy. The Win and Win RT models' main selling features are the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and the huge 10,000mAh battery, which are perfect for power users and performance freaks.
As an important step in January, Honor will unveils the mid-range Honor Power 2. The smartphone is said to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 chip and come with a bigger 10,080mAh battery. The hardware is expected to provide good performance, however, the design will probably be the main topic of the conversation. A Weibo user, Panda is Bald, leaked an image of the device that looks very much like the iPhone 17 Pro.
As per the rumors, the Power 2 will have a three-camera system mirrored to Apple's with an LED cutout to the left. The image suggests that the orange will be the signature color while black and white will be the other color options. The design reflects the situation in China where smartphone makers, whether big or small, follow Apple’s lead when it comes to design. It is also the case with the Xiaomi 17 series.
On the specifications side, the Power 2 is expected to sport a 6.79-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution. The camera side is with a 50MP rear and 16MP front snapper. The performance is provided by 12GB of RAM running on Magic OS 10, based on Android 16.
The Dimensity 8500 chipset that powers the Power 2 is also aimed at other devices coming soon, such as the Redmi Turbo 5, Poco X8 Pro, and Realme Neo 8 SE. It has been rumored that the Turbo 5 will be the first phone to get the Dimensity 8500 but it will be sold only in China. The Poco X8 Pro will then be the global alternative to the Turbo 5.
The introduction of the Honor Power 2 and its design unveiling could be the deciding factor regarding the mid-range mobile phones of early 2026, as they have managed to combine the traits of high-capacity batteries with the aesthetics of global rivals that are already familiar.
