Before the expected release in China, new information regarding the Honor 500 Pro has emerged and pre-orders for all the models in the series are already live.
According to the insider tipster Digital Chat Station, the Honor 500 Pro will sport a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen which will display with 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2736 x 1264 pixels. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage as the maximum. There are also rumors of the inclusion of a C1 modem and an E2 power management chip custom-designed for the device.
The Honor 500 Pro will reportedly pack an 8,000mAh battery which is quite large and will also come with a 200MP main camera on the back. The fingerprint biometrics will supposedly be through a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that will be embedded in the screen.
Honor has yet to announce the official launch date, even though the company has already given the series’ design, color options, and memory/storage combinations. The market seems to expect that the company could already announce the details in the next few weeks.
The Honor 500 Pro will be a direct competitor in the high-performance category, and its high-capacity battery and advanced camera technology will make it a flagship contender. Although the pricing for the Chinese market is still unknown, international pre-order listings suggest that it will be priced at a premium, commensurate with its specifications.
