Chinese smartphone maker Honor rolled out two new handsets, the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro, across select international markets on Thursday.

The standard Honor 400 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, while the Pro variant packs the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Display sizes differ: the base model offers a 6.55-inch screen, and the Pro model features a larger 6.7-inch panel. Both use full-HD+ AMOLED technology with 120Hz refresh rates and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.

Image capabilities include a 200-megapixel main rear sensor on both phones, supplemented by AI-driven photography tools. The Honor 400 Pro adds a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and optical image stabilization, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Selfies are handled by a 50-megapixel front shooter. The vanilla model omits the telephoto sensor and pairs the primary camera with a 12-megapixel wide-angle unit.

Both devices draw power from a 5,300mAh battery. The Pro supports up to 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, while the Honor 400 tops out at 66W wired. Honor claims the Pro can recharge from zero to 51 per cent in 15 minutes and maintain at least 80 per cent battery health after four years of regular use.

The premium Pro model carries an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance; the standard edition meets IP65 standards. Connectivity options on both include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 series, GPS and dual-sim compatibility with Nano and eSIM slots.

Honor priced the 12GB/512GB 400 Pro at GBP 699 (approximately Rs 80,000), available in Lunar Grey, Tidal Blue and Midnight Black finishes. The Honor 400 starts at GBP 399 (around Rs 48,000) for 8GB/256GB, with an 8GB/512GB option at GBP 449 (roughly Rs 51,000). Color choices include Desert Gold, Meteor Silver and Midnight Black.

Honor plans a China debut for the series on May 28 at 7:30 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. IST). Retail availability in other regions varies by market.

The Honor 400 lineup ships with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15 and includes Google’s Gemini AI assistant plus features like AI Eraser, AI Outpainting and Image-to-Video conversion through Google Cloud integration.
