The device is being marketed as a hybrid phone, positioned between a traditional feature phone and a full smartphone, offering select smart functionalities.
The HMD Touch 4G supports 4G connectivity and is designed to deliver essential online services without the cost of a smartphone. It features a 3.2-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and runs on HMD’s custom lightweight operating system, RTOS Touch.
The phone comes preloaded with Express Chat, an instant messaging platform that supports group chats and video calls. Users can also access cloud-based apps to get live cricket scores, weather updates, and trending videos. For photography, the device includes a 0.3MP front camera and a 2MP rear camera with LED flash housed in a circular module.
Inside, the device is powered by the Unisoc T127 chipset with 64MB of RAM. It offers up to 128GB of internal storage, expandable by an additional 32GB via a microSD card. A 1,950mAh battery powers the phone and charges through a USB-C port.
The device has IP52 water and dust protection and weighs 100 grams. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. It comes in cyan and dark blue colors and is priced at Rs 3,999 on HMD’s official website. Currently, the device is out of stock but is expected to be available soon.
