Here’s How Nano Banana Transforms Your Photos in Google Lens Now
Snap a photo in Google Lens and use Nano Banana to create unique images in styles like Anime, Watercolor, Retro Print, and more instantly.

Google has extended the reach of its Nano Banana image editing model to Google Lens and NotebookLM, thereby making it available to more users. The AI tool, which was previously restricted to the Gemini app, now enables users to take photos and alter them immediately within Google’s ecosystem.
The users can click the photo or take a selfie through Google Lens and input a prompt to have new, and wholly conceptual visuals created. The new feature can be found in the Google app as a "Create" tab when the Lens icon is tapped. The first phase of the launch is happening in the USA and India, and updates are expected to roll out to all users in a few days' time.
Besides Lens, Google has brought Nano Banana into NotebookLM which has given a major boost to the platform's Video Overviews feature that was launched in July. Video Overviews let users create slide-based videos with voiceover. Thanks to Nano Banana, the software will be able to provide both contextual and illustrative graphics for such videos.
To illustrate, the model presents six alternative styles: Watercolor, Papercraft, Anime, Whiteboard, Retro Print, and Heritage. The user also has the option to choose the video length, either a detailed Explainer or a shorter Brief version. NotebookLM will merge the AI-generated pictures with the voiceover to make the final video.
Pro subscribers will be the first to enjoy the improved NotebookLM experience, but access for all users is planned for the next few weeks. Google has also mentioned that Nano Banana’s features will soon be included in Google Photos.
