Rockstar Games has scheduled the release of its next expansion for Grand Theft Auto Online, titled "Money Fronts," for June 17. The update introduces new gameplay mechanics that allow users to operate legal storefronts that serve as fronts for underground enterprises.
Players will begin their criminal expansion through a cash-heavy location, the Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry. This location acts as the foundation for a money laundering operation, which can be further scaled by acquiring additional fronts across San Andreas.
Support from in-game character Martin Madrazo will enable players to access specialized advisors to assist in managing these businesses. With the right strategic decisions, users can unlock new fronts such as the Smoke on the Water dispensary and Higgins Helitours. These businesses will integrate with existing criminal networks, boosting earnings from operations like weed farms and freight smuggling.
The update includes a system where each illicit activity contributes to a "Heat" level, signaling increased law enforcement presence. Players must carefully balance illegal operations with the front businesses to avoid detection and maintain passive income flows.
Vehicles and Functional Updates Included
Rockstar is also introducing several new vehicles:
* Karin Everon RS (SUV)
* Declasse Tampa GT (Muscle Car)
* Western Police Bike (used in Dispatch Work missions)
Quality-of-life changes will also be implemented, including:
* Support for Missile Lock-On Jammers across 50 additional vehicles
* Skip options for mission cutscenes on repeat playthroughs
* Double Arena Points earnings
