GTA 6 Release Date Update Expected in May 15 Take-Two Earnings Call

Take-Two Interactive is poised to provide an update on Grand Theft Auto VI’s launch window during its Q1 earnings call scheduled for May 15. Documents outlining key dates are expected to be released publicly just before the call, offering the clearest indication yet of whether the late‑2025 timeframe remains on track.

Industry insiders suggest that Rockstar Games has tentatively planned GTA VI’s retail debut for Sept. 17, 2025, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A PC edition is likely to follow in 2026, continuing the developer’s trend of staggering console and computer releases.

Pricing projections for the standard Indian edition hover around Rs 5,999, with special editions priced at about Rs 7,299 and collector’s versions exceeding Rs 20,000. In the United States, a $70 base price is expected, with deluxe packages reaching up to $100. In the United Arab Emirates, prices may range between AED 350 and AED 370.

Rockstar has released recommended hardware benchmarks ahead of the call. Minimum requirements for PC include Windows 11, an Intel i5‑9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 16 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or AMD RX 6600 XT graphics card, and at least 150 GB of SSD storage. For optimal performance, the developer cites an Intel i9‑10900K or Ryzen 9 5900X CPU, 32 GB of memory, and an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT GPU with DirectStorage support.

The upcoming title will introduce two playable characters, including Lucia, the franchise’s first female protagonist. Enhanced AI policing, expanded stealth mechanics and a revised Wanted system aim to refine core gameplay loops.

Set in a reimagined Vice City, the new map named Leonida will incorporate urban and rural environments inspired by Florida’s diverse regions. Additional points of interest and interlocking zones promise to broaden exploration options.

Speculation over a second official trailer has intensified as fans await Take-Two’s audio webcast. Next month’s financial briefing could mark the final confirmation of GTA VI’s fall 2025 release and outline pre-order details for multiple regional markets.
